ID409: PWD ENGINEERS' ANNUAL PLANNING WORKSHOP

In adherence to PWD commitment to community engagement and stakeholder collaboration, the conclusive phase of the Annual Plan process transpired in December. The proficient team of PWD engineers and senior officers, supported by the Vanuatu-Australia Partnership, conducted a two-week pivotal planning and evaluation session at the PWD Headquarters in Port Vila. This process meticulously scrutinized the proposed plans and activities outlined for the six provinces, following extensive consultations with communities and key stakeholders.

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager and the Principal Engineer, each division, in conjunction with their respective managers, meticulously formulated activity plans and proposals for the year 2024. These comprehensive proposals underwent a rigorous evaluation process, aligning with the priorities delineated in the Public Roads Strategy. The culmination of this meticulous process will result in the development and approval of the final activity plan for 2024. This document will delineate the selected roads and specify the nature of the works slated to be undertaken across Vanuatu.

PWD remains steadfast in its pursuit of excellence and efficiency in serving the community. The annual workplans are designed to offer clarity, transparency, and accountability, mirroring the evolving needs and conditions of Vanuatu’s environment. We express our gratitude to our stakeholders for their unwavering support, as each one of you plays an integral role in our journey toward progress. We eagerly anticipate the continuation of our collaborative efforts and look forward to achieving milestones together!
